My Reflection

I was learning abut collage and making collage at  at Te Tuhi.  We talked about different types of collage  digital collage ,3D collage and normal collage . I thought it was easy because you don't need anything but paper, materials and glue. I really enjoyed  gluing my materials on . My next step is to make a 3D collage.

 I woke up in a good mood ready to feel the sunshine upon my skin in the breeze. So I got up and had a shower after I had my shower .My Mum told me to go outside the weather was beautiful. As soon as I walked outside I new today was going to be a great day. The sun was shining the clouds where as white as could be .The grass was dry and had the most wonder full feeling when grass when in between my toes .


As I walked to my olive tree ready to clime the tree beer foot I heard the birds chirping away like the choir . It made me feel happy the way the day was going Soon I had climbed the tree and was being  really sneaky peering in to neighbors backyard.  I saw all the plants that had grown up in a nice backyard.  I  could see everything from up there well actually not everything but I could see up to Hoyts Cinema.  


When I got back inside I noticed it was Sunday maybe today wasn't going to be a good day at all.

T4W1 holiday

The first time I had ever touched the snow was in the holidays i was amazed at how it felt  not hard but not soft so this is how my snow story started . it started when my mum told me where we were going and when she told me the day before it was happening  because i was finally  going to touch the snow for the first time .

When it was the next day and school was over my  Aunty,Uncle  and baby cousin when they eventually came I was rally happy to see them . we were going to go to the snow together. we got ready

and all wen't in the van there for whole 5 hours the " I'm hungry and sleepy and bored I wan't chips"  coming from Meher my baby  cousin the whole time when we were nearly at Whakapapa we saw Mount Reapehu 

the mountain we would all be skiing on.  we saw the sight and it was incredible .when we arrived at our hostel it diddn't look as I expected. 

It was called Ski Haus and I really liked the look of it .we found our  room and wen't to sleep fast it was 10 pm and it was late .

I was learning  about tessalation in the video above it shows a part of tessalation called reflection not this type of reflection but a mirror type of reflection . It was a little hard because i diddn't know about reflection very well. Next time I could  do better by practicing reflection .

I was learning about complex words in the novel Kensuke's Kingdom .  it was easy at first but the words got more challenging.  Over all I thought I did alright I think I could do better by ading more of what I thought I could do better by adding more of what I really felt

 Slowly walking through the vine's  come's the zebraphant with it's black stripes.  this is no normal creature this is a very rare specie you only see it in Japan Tokyo in the forests in winter . This Animal has zebra stripes and is shaped like an elephant that is how it get's it's name ,the zebraphant   people come from all over the world to see this beautiful animal but only few people see it .  you can not see this animal in Zoo's or any where else even safari's maybe you might see this creature one day I hope you do bye!!!!

Tearm 2 Week 4

 

It was finally the day  we were going on a school trip to tetuhi  down in pakuranga  plaza. We went there in a van Mr walker did a talking tom  just before we were about to leave. While we were getting there I acted like I was on a roller coaster it was wicked. finally we got there we had to wait till Jearmy would teach us how to make our virtical garden  . We first made the plastic bottles in to containers for our plants after that we decarated them put pummis in our, containers  , dirt , food for the plants  and finally the actual  plants I had a fern this trip was incredible .

A  few days ago My class started to do some art , Tonal landscape art . We first drew our landscape it took me  a wile to draw the landscape  I do not remember how long it took me. Again we started to paint , at the bottom of the page was the darkest shade then there was just dark , true color  ,light  and lightest

I was learning how to create a slideshow to show how to do rounding and conpensating and place value partitioning.  It was easy to write the S.C for rounding and conpensating.  Next time I would like to do a slideshow for divison.

THE Mayor

On Monday Len brown the mayor  came to elm park primary school to give us proof that we have a green gold school.  At the beginning we showed the them  our Powhiri   I think they were impressed by the amount of noise.  after that the junior choir gave it a go and sang a short song.  then we all sang EIAIE all together while the kapa haka group did the actions . the other guest's were getting pleased of how much attention the caused . At last the mayor presented us a certificate  for proof and we finally had our morning tea.

 Inquiry launch day  T2 W2

 Last week we did something called an inquiry launch . we had to do some activities to do with well being.  There were lots of ones but we only did five.  My first one was bolly wood dancing it was not as fun as I thought it would be.   My second one was the obstacle course and that was really fun .  The third one was playing in the sand pit but my sand castle kept breaking. And  the fourth and fifth one was bike skills and weaving I had the best day ever.

Life ED van

Last week we went to the Life Ed van and they taught  us all about feelings .   They showed us a short clip and we described how the person would be feeling.   We also go to meet Harold the puppet giraffe.   We  talked about the mood he would be in  and about his facial expression but over all it was great.

Extending Vocabulary

I was learning to extend vocabulary.  The hardest word was hysterics because I haven't heard it before and it was hard to work it out from the sentence.  When I come to a word I don't know when I am reading, I should try and work it out from the sentence or ask someone.

One funny but mixed up day I was watching my favorite TV show and a add came on ." Get red hair today "  my friend had to bye the hair so she called up and bought it . And I did not know after  the add it turned out the TV show had  finished so I did some gardening outside .While I was gardening this random person knocked on my door " would you  like to try dye your hair dark brown "sure" I said  I did not check the labels suddenly  I saw  I had  died my hair red why me ?

Nearly  Going to by a house

Last Saturday my dad and my mum were looking at some houses.  they were looking for a house witch had four and had lots of land. They found a house  but it was two story but that did not really matter to us .So we sent in an offer Harcourts they exepted the offer. Luckly  it was not on action now we are in the mood to  bye it.  My mum has had lots of meetings about the house but she does not let me hear the meetings will we bye it ?

On Saturday morning I got out of bed and then I brushed my teeth.

I changed my clothes and then I went to our living room. I found my dad waiting there for me and asked him what he was doing.He was staring at some houses on his mac book air. I asked him why he said we were planning to bye or auction a house and that we were going to an open home. " when" " today" so we all woke up then went in to the car we had a look at the open home it was amzing but we could not afford it

but I loved it.

I was learning to read numbers up to 536 and to say which is bigger or smaller.
The thing that helped me most was
 using my basic facts to help with bigger numbers.

lanten festavle

on Sunday I went to the lanten festavle .There were lots of games .We saw the dragon dance. It was really impressive one man was holding another man on top of his head to make the dragon dance.ohh I was so tierd that I fell asleep zzzzzz.I had ice cream inside a water melon it tasted a bit of.But then I saw the fire works it brightend my day I had the best day ever!!!!!!

Term 1 Week 4

                                                                 Te Tuhi

This week I went to Te Tuhi.  First we went to the art studio  and  felt what it was like to hold tapa cloth .

then we made some tapa  designs  when we finished our art . we looked at some pictures on the  way back and then we looked at a sculpture out it was  amazing!  On the  way back it started to rain . It first started of with a drizzle then it came down hard so we had to take the van back. It was a long day.
