Our Sleepover

My favourite activity was the morse code - sos because you had to concentrate really hard. It helped my learning with staying on task The funniest moment was when kiri fell of her chair the scariest moment was when the alarm went off. I learnt  that they gave a breakfast club in England .The food was the best I loved the pizza the most surprising thing was the size of the class rooms in England there small but i liked it.

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text.

I have been reading George’s  Marvellous Medicine. I thought of some words to describe grandma from what I learnt about her in the story.  

I found this easy because I have read the book myself and know what describing words are like and how to use them.  

My next step is to write a paragraph describing grandma using these words.

Identifying different words

I have Been learning to identify nouns,verbs and adjectives. A noun is a person place or thing a verb is a doing word and an adjective is a describing word . I found this easy because I learnt about it last year .My next step is to do it faster.

I was learning how to write a diamante poem because it is the start of spring and that is when daffodils come out and dance in the wind so lets do something about it!!!!!! I found this work easy because I  have seen daffodils before and have seen what they are like that is what helped a lot I have enjoyed this work a lot THANK YOU!!!!!!

Volcano Art

I was learning how to make a land scape of  a volcano.First I cut out the volcano it looked hard but it was easy . then I went on to the upper side -sky all you need to do is get a peace of card board and put paint on it and spread it. This was not so hard but I liked it. the other side-grass was not so easy you put paint on it and smudge it. I enjoyed it .

Last week we went to Te Tuhi to do a work shop  called creative stories .  We did  a role play of a story Quaky cat 

then we made a collage  of  scene from the story.  My part in the role play was the narrator.  I had fun with this work because I love doing  collage I loved it!!!

Understanding A Characters Impact

We were learning to understand a characters impact I kind of found it easy because you had to think how Leslie totally changed Jess . I enjoyed this work because i liked the way it went. next time I will concentrate more.

Factions Of a Set

We are learning about unit fractions of a set.
One thing that was tricky for when the numbers were big and i do not know the basic fact that goes with them.One thing that worked for me was knowing my basic facts because it helped me a lot .I thought this work was easy because i practiced it at home.

I was learning to use geometry shapes for my dream house.  I found this  really easy because it was easy to match up the shapes and create my dream house I already new thew vision to create my own dream house with made even more easy. My next step is to use different shape instead of triangles and squares.

I was learning how to use my five senses and detail in my writing.  We were learning it to make our writing more interesting.  I felt confused with this writing because you did not want to add to much detail or to little.  Next time I will add the perfect amount of detail by putting the right type of detail in my writing.  I did not really enjoy this writing because of the detail.
